John baptized Jesus in the Jordan River. The Spirit descended like a dove, and a voice from heaven declared Jesus the beloved Son.

Jesus taught His disciples and the crowds about the kingdom of heaven, prayer, mercy, and faithful living. His words invite us to hear and practice what He teaches.

Jesus had compassion on the crowd. With five loaves and two fish, He gave thanks and supplied food for everyone, with twelve baskets left over. The disciples shared the food with the people seated on the grass.

During the Passover meal, Jesus shared bread and the cup with His disciples, speaking of His body and the blood of the new testament.

The risen Jesus met the eleven disciples on a mountain in Galilee. He sent them to make disciples of all nations, baptizing and teaching them, and promised to be with them always.
